Firmware Engineer - Senior Level

Are you a software engineer but thrive on cross disciplinary projects and teams? Do you crave a continual variety of technical challenges?

MindTribe is looking for a full-time firmware engineer with experience writing software for embedded microprocessors, and preferably with electronics and application-level software experience as well. Specific responsibilities and role will scale with experience level.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

(%'s given for rough reference—will vary based on your skills and current projects)

70% Firmware Engineering:
Perform firmware engineering as required for client projects. Role will entail architecting, writing, and testing firmware for a wide variety of microprocessor-based products. Ideal candidate has Windows programming experience as well. You must have the ability to communicate well with clients.

15% Engineering Project Management:
Candidate will manage some of our smaller scale projects which do not require a dedicated project manager.

15% Everything else:
Help write proposals for new projects, internal company development, prospective client meetings, interaction with existing clients, weekly breakfast meeting, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS or MS Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or similar, 5+ years professional experience
• Well-versed in ANSI C. Other languages a plus.
• Some embedded architecture experience from job experience, coursework or hobbies
• Versatile skills and technical interests
• Passionate about engineering
• Ability to be self-directed with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
